What should I wear?
Whatever you feel your best and most comfortable in! The organizing team and volunteers will be dressed casually.
What should I expect?
You should expect a jam-packed day of meeting other local high school students, hearing from incredible keynote speakers and learning about potential career paths. You’ll also have a chance to meet Yale graduate students who have worked in various industries.
How long is the conference?
Expect to be on campus from 9am-4pm, with more details on arrival to come.
Who can attend the conference?
The event is open to all high school students in Connecticut and is intended for girls, but everyone is welcome to attend.
I already attended the conference in a previous year, should I still come?
Absolutely, we think you will get a lot out of new speakers and sessions this year!
What should I bring?
Just yourself and a reusable water to help us reduce plastic waste! We will provide everything else.
Will food be provided?
Yes, we will have breakfast and lunch provided! Please note that we will do our best to accommodate dietary restrictions and allergies if you noted them at registration, but cannot guarantee anything. If you have strict concerns about food, please feel free to bring your own packed lunch.
Where can my parents or guardian park?
Parents/guardians will be able to park in the lot at 199 Whitney Ave to pick up students from the checkout booth at 4pm.
Can I drive myself, walk home, or get a ride with a friend?
If any of these apply to you, please have your parent send an email to club-wim@som.yale.edu to let us know and list the name of the parent who will check out.
Can my parent or guardian wait for me at Evans Hall?
If a parent must stay on campus for the duration of the event, please wait in the McNay Cafe inside the SOM building.
