Basic Hockey Skills

Once you are comfortable skating on the ice, then it is time to learn basic hockey skills. The three basic skills include stickhandling (using your stick to control the puck), passing the puck, the wrist shot, and the slap shot. These skills are presented in the order in which they should be learned (trying to slap shot before you can control the puck is like doing a DCF before you know Accounting).
