Join us for an insightful and thought-provoking speaker event that explores the evolving landscape of the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA) and the powerful intersectional identities that have shaped its athletes, fans, and culture. As the WNBA continues to rise in popularity, this event will dive into how issues such as race, gender, sexual orientation, and social justice are woven into the fabric of the league, making it a unique platform for visibility and change.
Guest speakers include Stephanie Mejia '26 (Agent at WME Sports), Alexandra Maund '19 (Connecticut Sun Communications Manager and former Yale women's basketball player), and David Estevez (Manager, Global Partnerships in the NBA). This event is co-hosted with the Title IX working group. Come ready for an inspiring discussion that highlights the power of representation and the incredible journey of the WNBA!
