Disheveled young adults in skinny jeans and coke-bottle glasses sporting sneakers and graphic t-shirts is the image most evoked when somebody mentions the words, "design" and "innovation." But during my experience at SOM I came to realize that these terms are just as valued by those in pinstriped suits or khakis and polos.
