Join us for Social Impact Lab with Linda Zhou (SOM ’26), who will talk about the Stop Asian Hate movement of 2021 that led to the raising of GoFundMe's AAPI Community Fund. She will reflect on her time allocating grants from the $7M fund and the funding gap she continues to see for grassroots AAPI organizations, while leading a discussion on what others would have done with the money and alternative approaches to managing the fund. She will also share her work with emerging AAPI talent and the pop culture moments that shaped the narrative of Asian Americans during that time.

Bio: Linda is a 2nd-year MBA candidate at the Yale School of Management and Managing Partner of the NYC/Midwest team at Dorm Room Fund, the leading student-run venture fund investing in student founders. Prior to business school, she built grant programs and accelerators for AAPI grassroots non-profits, emerging music artists, filmmakers, journalists, and more at Gold House, while also leading the Gold House Ventures Accelerator for early-stage founders. Linda began her career as community manager at the Harvard Innovation Labs, leading to a stint as first employee & Chief of Staff at i-lab incubated fintech startup Juno.
