Pan Asian American Heritage Month, also known as Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, is typically celebrated throughout the month of May. The Asian American Cultural Center at Yale celebrates it university-wide in March to encourage as much community participation as possible before the hustle and bustle of commencement and summer travels. For Pan Asian American Heritage Month (PAAHM) 2025 at Yale, we are very excited to share a month-long series of events soon that explores the theme Imagining Just Futures.
Pan Asian American Heritage Month is an annual celebration that recognizes the historical and cultural contributions of individuals and groups of Asian and Pacific Islander descent to the United States. The AAPI (Asian American and Pacific Islander) umbrella term includes cultures from the entire Asian continent—including East, Southeast, and South Asia—and the Pacific Islands of Melanesia, Micronesia, and Polynesia.
Join the Office of Community Engagement and Dialogue & the Yale SOM community to celebrate!
