Utility-scale solar has been all the rage recently, but what about community and residential solar? While these segments of the U.S. solar market are projected to realize exponential growth through the end of the decade, potential headwinds over the next few years are likely to make this growth choppy.

Join us as Arjun and Brennan, 1st year SOM students, discuss their perspectives on the future of community and residential solar – the challenges, the opportunities, and why it remains a key lever for decarbonization globally. We’ll explore the fundamentals of community and residential solar, characteristics of winners in the market, up-and-coming trends, and emerging innovations that are underpinned by this clean technology. Please come with perspectives and questions – we will leave ample time at the end of the session to discuss!

CliMates is a weekly get-together of ceveryone interested in learning more about sustainability - from SOM, YSE and beyond - to discuss about trending sustainability topics and how industries are adapting. Every session will have 3 parts:
~20 min presentation about a sustainability topic given by a peer/ close contact. To broaden our exposure and deepen our knowledge.
~20 min for small group discussion about the topic. To share additional knowledge, spark new ideas, allow yourself to shape an opinion, and practice voicing it.
~20 min open time for career advice / community catchup. To help each other in our recruiting journeys and get to know each other better.

We'd love some input on topics that most interest you.
