Caroline James

Caroline James is an MBA candidate at the Yale School of Management. She is interested in the application of circular economy strategies within and between businesses. During Summer 2021, Caroline interned with Atlantic Packaging in North Carolina as a sustainability strategist, and she's particularly interested in designing packaging for circularity. After graduation, she will be returning to Atlantic to be their Director of Sustainability.

Prior to Yale, Caroline was a consultant at Deloitte Consulting in the public sector practice, where she helped federal agencies tackle their toughest organizational effectiveness issues. While at Deloitte, Caroline founded the DC Sustainability Community of Practice and Engagement (DC SCOPE), a group focusing on improving Deloitte's sustainability as a firm.

Caroline graduated magna cum laude from Georgetown University with a degree in Government. While at Georgetown, Caroline was a founding member of Georgetown University Fossil Free, which recently won its seven-year campaign to persuade Georgetown to divest its endowment from fossil fuels. She gave a TEDx talk in 2016 about her experience being arrested in a protest against the Keystone XL Pipeline.
