Applying to Yale SOM
A deep understanding of the school you are applying to is not only important for your decision making process, but also to make your application more appealing. The AHLAS family is happy to support you on this, so feel free to reach out.
Please, be mindful that we are not part of the admissions committee.

Welcome Weekends
Yale SOM organizes two Welcome Weekends for admitted students. The Latino Leadership Association actively participates in these events in many ways:

  • Happy Hours: Together with other affinity groups on campus, we organize a dedicated happy-hour during the weekend so admitted students can learn more about club’s people and events in an informal environment.

  • Housing: Together with SOM’s Admissions office, AHLAS organizes housing for admitted Latin American and Latino heritage students in its members’ apartments and houses. It is a great opportunity to experience a real student life here at Yale SOM.

Being part of the AHLAS
AHLAS organizes a series of events and offers different programs for its members and the broad Yale SOM community. Check our Events page for more information. As a member of AHLAS you may apply for leadership positions, offering you exposure to the broad Yale SOM community and experience in critical areas, including Marketing, Finance, Project Management and others. Come and help us strengthen the Latino community at SOM!
