Discussion Dinner: Social Divisions in Asia

Join the South Asia Club and Students for Racial Equity as we converge over dinner to discuss the state and implications of social division in Asia, as they relate to the Caste System.

1. Confidentiality: What's said here stays here. What's learned here leaves here.
2. Be Present: Listen without interrupting or engaging with your own mental chatter
3. Come with a learning and growth mindset: Nobody knows everything, but together we know a lot.
4. Be empowered to share your half-baked thoughts: Now is the time to learn and engage. If you are challenged on those ideas, accept feedback without getting defensive.
5. Assume best intent: Challenge with love and not judgment.
6. Ask permission before attempting to talk more another time about something someone said at dinner. They may say no.
