Tour of Museum of Jewish Heritage Exhibition: What Hate Can Do

In honor of International Holocaust Remembrance Day, join the Office of Community Engagement and Dialogue on a guided tour of the Museum of Jewish Heritage: A Living Memorial to the Holocaust. Their exhibition, The Holocaust: What Hate Can Do, is an expansive and timely presentation of Holocaust history told through personal stories, objects, photos, and film – many on view for the first time. The 12,000-square-foot exhibition features over 1,250 original objects and survivor testimonies from the Museum’s collection. The Holocaust: What Hate Can Do is a representation of this global story through a local lens, rooted in the objects donated by survivors and their families, many of whom settled in New York and nearby places.

The Museum of Jewish Heritage – A Living Memorial to the Holocaust is New York’s contribution to the global responsibility to Never Forget. Opened in 1997, the Museum is committed to the crucial mission of educating diverse visitors about Jewish life before, during, and since the Holocaust. As the Museum space is small, we will likely be split into groups of around 10-15 based on the number of Educators available. More information will be provided to participants the week prior.
