Silver Solar Eclipse Viewing

Meet at Evans Hall and we will walk to observe the Solar Eclipse from the Leitner Family Observatory and Planetarium. Eclipse glasses provided. Meet up starting at 2:00 for glasses distribution. We will depart sharply at 2:30 (was 2:15, shifting back to accommodate people with classes ending at 2:20).

The eclipse will begin at 2:12pm and peak at 3:30pm.

The next North American solar eclipse is taking place on Monday, April 8. Join us at the Leitner Family Observatory and Planetarium to witness this rare phenomenon! While Connecticut is not within the path of totality, it is still fairly close which allows for a partial eclipse event (starting at 14:12:41 EDT). Keep in mind that parking at LFOP will be limited and restrooms will not be available, so please plan ahead.
