Fall 2026 TA Training

Calling all those who have been appointed as a TA for this fall: first of all, congrats! If you have not attended a TA Training session in the past, and you plan to be a TA for a Fall 1, Fall 2, or a full semester Fall course, this training is mandatory. This is an interactive session, so please attend in person if possible. You'll get more out of it in person, and the session will be better with more attendees. An organizer from L33* will also be in attendance at the end of the training for those TAing full semester classes. Snacks will be provided!

PhD students are not required to attend SOM's TA training.

*Local 33 - UNITE HERE is the union of graduate teachers and researchers at Yale. Last year, graduate workers ratified our first union contract, which includes historic pay increases, new protections for immigrant and international workers, more financial support around health care and family/dependent assistance, and much more! This session will provide an overview of why we have a graduate union at Yale, our rights under the contract, the benefits of membership, and how to get involved with Local 33.
