Rajan Bharti Mittal is the Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Bharti Enterprises - one of India's leading business groups with interests in retail, telecom, financial services, manufacturing, realty and agri-business. Bharti Airtel, the group's flagship company, is a global telecommunications company with over 290 million customers across South Asia and Africa. Bharti has joint ventures with several global leaders : Singtel, Softbank, AXA and Del Monte.

The discussion will focus on the Airtel story. How did Airtel grow from a small telecom firm to a $14B enterprise? How did it withstand competition (from Reliance in 2004 for example) and stay on top in a fiercely competitive market?
